The sense of humor of The Washington D.C. Subway

Let's check out the D.C. subway. The train station looks good. Let's now look at their homegrown terminology...

Conseaterate: adj. thoughtful toward others who are more in need of a Metrorail or Metrobus seat.

PlanBdexterous: adj. able to plan an alternate route home in case Metro is inaccessible due to unforseen circumstances.

The D.C. subway is claimed to be better than NYC subway. Let's see...

Pateling in front of the White House. Thanks to 'tight security', this is the closest we could get.

This intriguing structure outside one of the musuems caught the interest of the mechanical engineer in us. The whole thing is made of just a single flexible cable threaded through hundreds of pipes and is still structurally in a stable equilibrium as it stands.

(One of the world's most famous gems - renowned for its flawless clarity, rare deep blue color, and eventful history. It is surrounded by 16 white diamonds and suspended from a platinum chain bearing 46 more diamonds)
